Halloween Story

Exile on Main Street

Jacob and Matt Vinchest they are brothers with hard fate. When they were young, their mother Mary died a violent and unexplainable death, which in turn led their father, John Winchest, to teach them skills which they might need in the search for whatever it was that took her life.

Subsequently, he raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and he taught them how to kill it.

But Jacob didn’t want such lifestyle. He left home to begin "normal" life.

Years later, while attending Stanford University, Jacob is forced back into the paranormal world by his older brother, who has come to tell him that their father has mysteriously disappeared.

Jacob later returns home, and discovers his girlfriend Jessica pinned to the ceiling. He is then forced to watch as she is killed in the same supernatural manner as his mother. Jessica's death prompts him to return to the life of hunting with Matt.

The brothers set out on a journey, fighting evil along the way, to find their recently missing father who, when they finally meet up with, reveals he knows what killed their mother, a demon, and have found a way to track and kill it.

Along the way, Jacob and Matt save innocent people, fight creatures and ghosts, and collect clues to their father's whereabouts. They eventually find their father, who reveals that the creature that killed Jacob and Matt 's mother years earlier is Yellow-eyes (Azazel) and the only thing that can kill him is a legendary gun created by Samuel Colt.

  

Demon order to force them to hand over the Colt, but they refused.

However, Azazel soon reveals himself to be in possession of John, and attacks them. As the Azazel tortures Matt, though, John is able to temporarily gain control, and begs Jacob to use the Colt to kill Azazel. Not able to bring himself to kill his father, Sam instead shoots him in the leg, and Azazel flees. On the way to the hospital, the three then crashed into a truck driver.

In the aftermath of the car crash, the surviving Winchesters go to the hospital, where one is stalked by a Reaper while another must consider sacrificing himself to save the others.

Purpose of art 

Art has had a great number of different functions throughout its history, making its purpose difficult to abstract or quantify to any single concept. This does not imply that the purpose of Art is "vague", but that it has had many unique, different reasons for being created. Some of these functions of Art are provided in the following outline. The different purposes of art may be grouped according to those that are non-motivated, and those that are motivated (Levi-Strauss).

Non-motivated functions of art

The non-motivated purposes of art are those that are integral to being human, transcend the individual, or do not fulfill a specific external purpose. Aristotle said, "Imitation, then, is one instinct of our nature." In this sense, Art, as creativity, is something humans must do by their very nature (i.e., no other species creates art), and is therefore beyond utility.

Basic human instinct for harmony, balance, rhythm. Art at this level is not an action or an object, but an internal appreciation of balance and harmony (beauty), and therefore an aspect of being human beyond utility.

"Imitation, then, is one instinct of our nature. Next, there is the instinct for 'harmony' and rhythm, meters being manifestly sections of rhythm. Persons, therefore, starting with this natural gift developed by degrees their special aptitudes, till their rude improvisations gave birth to Poetry." –Aristotle.

Experience of the mysterious. Art provides a way to experience one's self in relation to the universe. This experience may often come unmotivated, as one appreciates art, music or poetry.

Expression of the imagination. Art provide a means to express the imagination in non-grammatic ways that are not tied to the formality of spoken or written language. Unlike words, which come in sequences and each of which have a definite meaning, art provides a range of forms, symbols and ideas with meanings that are malleable.

"Jupiter's eagle [as an example of art] is not, like logical (aesthetic) attributes of an object, the concept of the sublimity and majesty of creation, but rather something else – something that gives the imagination an incentive to spread its flight over a whole host of kindred representations that provoke more thought than admits of expression in a concept determined by words. They furnish an aesthetic idea, which serves the above rational idea as a substitute for logical presentation, but with the proper function, however, of animating the mind by opening out for it a prospect into a field of kindred representations stretching beyond its ken." -Immanuel Kant.

Universal communication. Art allows the individual to express things toward the world as a whole. Earth artists often create art in remote locations that will never be experienced by another person. The practice of placing a cairn, or pile of stones at the top of a mountain, is an example. (Note: This need not suggest a particular view of God, or religion.) Art created in this way is a form of communication between the individual and the world as a whole.

Ritualistic and symbolic functions. In many cultures, art is used in rituals, performances and dances as a decoration or symbol. While these often have no specific utilitarian (motivated) purpose, anthropologists know that they often serve a purpose at the level of meaning within a particular culture. This meaning is not furnished by any one individual, but is often the result of many generations of change, and of a cosmological relationship within the culture.

Art

Art is the product or process of deliberately arranging items (often with symbolic significance) in a way that influences and affects one or more of the senses, emotions, and intellect.

It encompasses a diverse range of human activities, creations, and modes of expression, including music, literature, film, photography, sculpture, and paintings.

Art is something that stimulates an individual's thoughts, emotions, beliefs, or ideas through the senses.

It is also an expression of an idea and it can take many different forms and serve many different purposes.

Art - figurative judgement of the validity; process or a result of expression inner or an external world of the creator in (art) mode;

The creativity directed in such a manner that it reflects interesting not only the author, but also other people.

Art (along with a science) - one of knowledge means, both in natural-science, and in a religious pattern of perception of the world.
I could tell you that art plays a large part in making our lives infinitely rich. Imagine, just for a minute, a world without art! (You may think "So what?" but please consider the impact that lack of graphics would have on your favorite video game.)

Art stimulates different parts of our brains to make us laugh or incite us to riot, with a whole gamut of emotions in between.

Art gives us a way to be creative and express ourselves. For some people, art is the entire reason they get out of bed in the morning.

You could say "Art is something that makes us more thoughtful and well-rounded humans."

From the read statements I can draw a conclusion – what is the art.
Art - the special method of knowledge and the validity reflectance, one of forms of art activity of public consciousness and a part of spiritual culture as person, and all mankind, diverse result of creative activity of all generations.
And in the conclusion I will tell - art is the mover of life of mankind.

ITs – internet technologies in EFL teaching (short review)

Интернет-технологии играют важную роль в повседневной жизни людей и образовании. Во время развития современных технологий в нашей жизни изменилось многое. Высоко развитая технология сделала изучение более быстрым, и у людей есть способность достигнуть большей информации. Различные технологии служат различным целям, и поэтому играют различные роли в обучении студентов. Например, обработка текста и электронная почта продвигают коммуникативные способности; база данных и программы крупноформатной таблицы продвигают организационные навыки; моделирование программного обеспечения способствует пониманию науки и математических понятий и т.д.

Я знакомилась с возможностями 5 программ, описала мои впечатления и оценку. Сейчас я на 1 этапе познания, но я продолжу изучение, я попробую достигнуть большего – я хочу и сделаю это!!!!!

Type With Me

Type with me - online документ как инструмент сотрудничества, который работает в режиме реального времени. Это - очень важный инструмент для преподавателей и студентов. Очень простой и удобный, и главное не требует ни какой регистрации.

Студенты, соединенные в группах, могут работать над документом, и каждый из них сможет добавлять и редактировать информацию.

Преподаватель может использовать это со студентами, чтобы получить все ответы класса по предмету. Это может использоваться, чтобы учить студентов, как написать часть письма, резюме, письмо и т.д. Учителя могут использовать это, чтобы сотрудничать друг с другом. Это может также использоваться в семье для того, чтобы запланировать семейные события и празднования.

Я делала Type With Me с Дашей Помошник, очень понравилось, было забавно, это стоит попробовать каждому!!

Mind Mapping

Mind Mapping – интеллект-карта или диаграмма связей, которая помогает организовать огромный материал на маленькой территории в виде древовидной схемы, на которой изображены слова, идеи, задачи или другие понятия, связанные ветвями, отходящими от центрального понятия или идеи. Бесконечное разнообразие возможных ассоциаций и следовательно, неисчерпаемость возможностей мозга. Подобный способ записи позволяет диаграмме связей неограниченно расти и дополняться. Диаграммы связей используются для создания, визуализации, структуризации и классификации идей, а также как средство для обучения, организации, решения задач, принятия решений, при написании статей.

Я попробовала и сделала Mind map – Обучение Монологической речи, и мне очень понравилось – легко, быстро и без дополнительных усилий можно создать такую увлекательную вещь!!:))

Mixbook – превосходная программа – очень понравилась. Я попробовала, и это действительно круто, а главное не сложно и она выглядит вот так - нажмите на фото))

Огромное количество возможностей – не только один человек может создать альбом – друзья могут создать это вместе, можно создавать альбомы на различную тематику, создавать фото-календари, имеется огромное количество шаблонов для создания, оформление, вставка текста, изменение дизайна и многое другое. Все желающие могут просматривать альбомы, оставлять комментарии.

Загружать и использовать фотографии можно не только с компьютера, но и с – flickr, facebook, Picasa, YAHOO! Search, photobucket, SmugMug.

Mixbook можно создать для себя, для друзей, близких и коллег – преподнести это в виде подарка. Я в восторге от Mixbook, просто нет слов.

Web-Quest – проработав всю информацию сразу стало ясно, что это сайт в Интернете, с которым работают учащиеся, выполняя ту или иную учебную задачу.

Особенностью образовательных веб-квестов является то, что часть или вся информация для самостоятельной или групповой работы учащихся с ним находится на различных веб-сайтах. Кроме того, результатом работы с веб-квестом является публикация работ учащихся в виде веб-страниц и веб-сайтов.

Для Web-Quest предназначены различные виды заданий: пересказ, планирование и проектирование, самопознание, различные творческие задания и т.д.

В свою очередь, хочу сказать, что работать в Web-Quest будет очень интересно и полезно, т.к. такая работа действительно активизирует учебную деятельность, это новое для меня и сложно, но я думаю получиться разобраться с этой программой.  

Moodle – очень интересная и полезная система управления обучением. Такое обучение не только помогает организовать связь между учителем и учеником, но так, же организовать дистанционные курсы, и даже для поддержки очного обучения.

Как я поняла, система Moodle представляет из себя сайт, т.е. работа в системе происходит так же, как и с обычным сайтом.

Возможности Moodle для учителя – самые разнообразные, т.к. учитель может создать курс в Moodle по своему предмету (дисциплине) и наполнять его содержанием, это могут быть:

1. Теоретический материал доступный для скачивания учащимся, а так же учащиеся будут читать эти лекции.

3. Практические задания, которые учащиеся будут выполнять в системе и учитель сразу увидит ответ.

4. Возможность создавать автоматизированные тесты, которые сами будут считать результат, и выдавать оценку.

5. И самое полезное и практичное для учителя это возможность организовать – Журнал. Учащиеся, выполняя те или иные виды заданий, получают оценки, которые автоматически заносятся в журнал оценок. Учитель получает информацию по всем учащимся, а каждый учащийся имеет ясное представление о своих оценках.

Студент в Moodle имеет возможность выполнять задания на различные темы, прочитывать лекции, находить учебно-методические материалы по интересующей его дисциплине и многое другое.

И самое главное, что в системе Moodle студент и преподаватель могут общаться с помощью Skype – чтение лекций, проведение практических и лабораторных занятий и многое другое.

Для себя я выяснила, что работа в Moodle – это будет полезно, интересно и быстро. Я с удовольствием попробовала бы работать в таком режиме, так как это для меня новое, поэтому летом обязательно попробую и я думаю это мне очень понравиться. 

Wikis

Очень понравилось работать на веб-сайте – Wikis.

Я никогда не пользовалась Wikis, это для меня совершенно новое, но мне очень понравилось и мне было не трудно работоать в Wikis. Так легко, быстро и просто можно редактировать данные, и каждый желающий так же может просмотреть мои записи и изменить их так же легко и за считанные секунды появляется готовый документ. Можно делать разделение содержимого на именованные страницы, создавать связь страниц и подразделов сайта через контекстные гиперссылки.
